Closing

Good job on making it to closing! It’s finally time to get the fruit of your struggles. But there’s more to it than just signing the papers. Closing isn’t the end, simply the last step before the end. Here are some things to keep in mind.

It’s always smart to review your closing documents with your attorney before closing. The title company will not mind.  We want you to be 100% at ease with your purchase/sale/refinance, but we also don’t want anything to disrupt the closing date/time everyone has worked so hard for.  Plan ahead, don’t want to bring that up the night before closing……because that might delay your closing.

Walk the property and make sure everything’s in order. If you have a survey, take it with you when you walk the property.  The visual comparison of the ground and the survey may raise questions that you likely want to ask before you have closed.  Ask questions.  Don’t be shy.  Again, the goal is for you to be 100% at ease before you get to the closing table.

Once you’re formally closing, ensure you come to closing with “GOOD FUNDS”..  Next week’s Blog will define “Good Funds”, so be sure and enjoy next week's blog.
